Before you start looking at properties, figure out how much house you can afford. This will be based on your income, savings, credit score, and existing debts.

When you find a home you love, your agent will help you submit an offer. This is a formal proposal to buy the house that includes the price you're willing to pay and any conditions you want to include (like a home inspection).

MAKE AN OFFER

After your offer is accepted, you'll need to arrange for a home inspection to look for any potential issues with the property. Your lender will also order an appraisal to determine the home's value.
